Thank you for a fabulous event!

On January 30, 2013, a group of youth speakers and performers brought to light their  “ideas worth spreading” at the Omni Montessori Activity Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Continue to be open to the light and what our youth are saying.  Stay up to date, view the talks after the event, and continue the conversation on Facebook ,Twitter, and Google+.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxYouth@Omni, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxYouth@Omni event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

TEDxYouth@Omni is an invitation only event, on our first go round, but we plan to come back in 2014, bigger, brighter, and open to youth all around Charlotte.
